Geo-Boards
Hi Guys, I'm back. Three weeks ago we started a technology rotation. The rotation in Hauraki which was the first one I did, were making geo-boards! The first step to making a geo-board is cutting a 12 centimetre long wooden board. The next step was with a marker, to evenly make 5 rows of 5. Then with a hammer we had to stamp nails into the board. The last and most fun step was making patterns with elastic bands.
Enjoy!
This was really fun and challenging it also was good using hammers because this taught us how to use some of these tools well.
Technology Challenge
For this you had to get in a group of 4 then you had to create a bridge that could go far off the table and still be above it. My group had Ben, Toby and Alex in it. At first we talked about was we were going to make. We decided to make a drawbridge. The materials that we used were 3 yellow papers, 2 meter long ductape, string, Popsicle sticks and straws.
Enjoy The Pics!
This work really got my mind focused and was really challenging. At the end I think ours was 22 CM off the table.
Circuits
This was the one thing I didn't do because I was away, but from what Iv'e heard it sounded really fun. Here's a brief explanation of this. You were given a lithium and told about it's positive and negative with the battery. Then you were given an LED and if you put them together the LED will light up.
