Kopuwai and The Clever Girl

Hi guys I'm back. Around a week ago, we read a book/myth called Kopuwai and the Clever Girl. After we read that we had to make a comic using google drawings or google slides. I used google slides. When we were making them we had to use as little pics off the web as possible.
Hope You Enjoy!

This work was pretty easy but it made it more challenging not being able to use pics of the web.

Inquiry - Term 1

Hey Guys I'm back. For inquiry we were put into groups and we had to go around different pieces of paper that had animal groups on them. We had to in our groups write facts about them. Our group started with Amphibians. The next day we got back into our groups, but we had other people come in who did the same, but were in a different colour space. Once we were together we used the facts to make a presentation have a look at some of them. Our Group worked well together so it was pretty easy. Hope You Enjoy!

This was very fun to make and exciting.
I think next time I would make a kahoot because that is what the last group did and it was interesting, but there still is a chance and I may make one soon.

Sharks Report

Hi Guys I'm back about 2 weeks ago we had to write a shark report.
A report is factual piece of writing which means it is full of facts
ENJOY!

Sharks

Beginning
Sharks are fish, that roam around the ocean feasting on their prey.
This Report is around what Sharks Look Like, their Actions and their Characteristics and Behaviours

What does a shark look like?

Sharks worldwide can be spotted because they all have common features.
Sharks have long white teeth to catch and feast on their prey.
They have cuts in the side of them called gills so they can breathe underwater.
A pointy fin comes out over them to stabilise sharks so they don’t roll over. Sharks are really long and big.
Their dark creepy eyes never move unless their attacking something. Sharks skeletons are made of cartilage.
These fierce animals are grey on top and pale on the bottom.

Actions

If another shark has food the other one will attack the shark and try and to steal the food.
Sharks swim all around the world. They use their electroreceptors to sense fish and other sea creatures.
Female sharks lay hundreds of eggs all the time. Sharks are usually very aggressive towards their prey.
Lots of sharks will eat plankton which are little microscopic things that like that move around the ocean.

Characteristics/behaviours

Sharks are very aggressive.
They can also be passive aggressive like a bee sometimes so if a sea creatures aggravate sharks they will attack.
Sharks can be careless because after their babies are born they don’t care for them.
Some sharks can actually be harmless and lots of the it tends to the bigger sharks that are.
Sharks only attack if they’re hungry.

Conclusion:
Sharks are actually very nice to humans because more people die from lightning strikes then they do from shark attacks.
There are 440 species of shark and probably a lot more.

This was very fun and a little bit challenging because we had to come up with topic sentences

Bruno and Toby's Infographic

Hi Guys, I'm back. About one week ago I created an infographic and then shared it with Toby. We created it around Sharks. The sharks that we choose were the Great White Shark, the Hammerhead Shark, the Mako Shark and also the Tiger Shark. One thing that I learnt that I didn't know is that Mako sharks can swim up to 60 Miles an Hour! When your reading the Infographic zoom in to see it better, sorry we couldn't make it bigger. Hope You Enjoy!

This work was sort of challenging because when one of us made changes we had to reload.
I you would like to check out where we made this here is the link www.canva.com

1. The White clouds drift down and there is a whiteout.
2. There is a city out in the distance surrounded by mountains
3. Hard rock breaks and there is a Avalanche
4. Next to me there are people skiing and snowboarding
5. I am in America
6. I am covered in snow

Figure Me Out

Hi Guys I'm back. In week 1 we made a figure me out DLO. What we did was we had to right a number sentence of things like are shoe size, are birth month and even the number of pets we own. Hope You Enjoy!

This work was pretty easy but also very fun, to make this more challenging at the end I made my number sentences have higher numbers.
Next time I think I will make more of my sentences about fractions.

Book Review - Jonty and Choc

Guten Tag Bloggers, Last year we did this but I found it in my draft I wanted to blog about it. We started reading books that we chose. I chose the book Jonty and Choc the story is about two boys that are best friends in Primary School become foes in Intermediate. Once we started reading the book we created a book review. The book is a dramedy which means it's filled with drama and comedy.

My favourite thing that we did in the book review was doing the Six Thinking Hats and the Tinkerkad.

Te Tiriti o Waitangi

Hi Guys I'm back from the holidays, hope you had a great Christmas and a Happy New Year!
We read a book about the Treaty of Waitangi called Te Tiriti o Waitangi. After we read the book we had to answer questions about it. Enjoy!

This work was pretty easy and fun, I will be blogging all lot more when we get back into the grove of learning.
I learnt a lot about the Treaty of Waitangi and the most interesting fact was that the Maori version of the treaty was not the same as the English.
I think the Treaty is very important because it helped New Zealand grow in population and I don't know if New Zealand would be same.
