Pasifika Peter Pan

Hi guys, I'm back. Last week we had our school production. We had three shows that were on Wednesday night, Thursday night and a Friday matinee. This was outstanding and gave us experience on stage. This week we have been reflecting on it, by making six thinking hats. The six thinking hats are information, positive, negative, feelings, creativity and reflection.
Hope you enjoy!

Production was amazing, because I had been in production before but I was never in the main cast. I thought that this work was quite easy, but was challenging with the blue hat.

Ako Hiko Film Festival!

Hi guys, I'm back. Last term we made movies for the first annual Ako Hiko film festival. Leading up to this we looked at different shot like close up, wide shot, medium shot and dynamic shots. Another thing we did for a warm up exercise, and made knock-knock jokes. My one was about lettuce. After that we made our script. My group had Ben, Toby, Alex and me in it. Our movie had to be something about change. When we wrote our script we agreed that it would be about someone, that could change objects. I was supposed to be the main character, but I was away for one of the days so Ben was changed to it. Hope You Enjoy!

Here are some shots that we used in the film.

Medium Shot
Close Up
Up Shot
Over the Shoulder
I really liked making these films, because it gave us experience in film making and helped us work in teams. I think me and my group did really well and I like our film.

Production Rehearsals

Hi guys, I'm back. Last term we started doing rehearsals for our production. Our production this year is called Pasifika Peter Pan. It's the story of Peter Pan with a pacific twist. In our production, instead of being a part of the Lost Boys, I'm a part of the Lost Tamariki. Rehearsals stretch from 3:15 PM - 4:15 PM. One thing that I like about rehearsals, is that my group get to ride scooters on stage. Another thing I like is watching the rehearsal, especially when my friends are on. I'm feeling really confident right now about the production, because we still have three weeks to go and are pretty much there.

Nettiquette

Hi Guys, I'm back.  In Cybersmart we worked on a slideshow about the dos and don'ts on the Internet. It also talked about Formal and Informal writing. After we finished we made a digital learning object (DLO) on one do on the internet. I chose how to greet people.
Hope You Enjoy!

Greeting people on the Internet is very important, it also matters about if it's formal or informal.
This work was quite easy but really fun!

Waikowhai Intermidiate, This Is Me

Hi guys, I'm back. Yesterday the Y5/6s drove on a bus to Waikowhai Intermediate to see theri production called 'This Is Me'. This poem was about diversity, culture and being yourself.  We were going to walk, but the intermediate insisted we go by bus which was lucky because it was raining. The Intermediate paid for the bus as well. When we got back we had to fill in a deBono six thinking hats DLO.
Hope You Enjoy!

This is Me was a great show and I recommend watching it.

Mudrun

Hi Guys, I'm back. Last week on Tuesday Ms Sands and parents took 22 students from Waikowhai Primary School to the annual Mud Run. The Mud Run is a run that is full of mud and obstacles. It was my first time going this year but I heard it was a lot muddier this year than last. I would definitely go next year because Waikowhai Intermediate was there as well. The run was held in Hellensville so it was quite a long ride.
Enjoy the Pics!

The Mud Run was quite a tough and challenging run, it was really muddy and I am looking forward to next year!
